Invisalign is named one of the hottest products of the yearInvisalign is named one of the hottest products of the year according to CNN Money. Align Technology, the makers of Invisalign, have had a record year, with profits soaring. In fact, the company’s value has almost tripled. Making it the top performer in the Standard and Poor’s 500 stock index and propelling its worth to a near twenty billion dollars.

Even though Invisalign is the number one choice for adult orthodontics, sales have also been boosted by teens wanting more discreet teeth straightening. The company saw around seventy thousand Invisalign Teen sales in its last quarter alone. Meaning a forty-three percent rise on last years stats.

Invisalign’s CEO, Joe Hogan spoke to CNN Money about the vision and benefits of the device. “You can pull them out to eat the food that you want or play a sport or play a musical instrument. You can live the life that you want to live.” Hogan also attributes their growing success to the amount of investment the company has made. This has allowed them to treat more complex cases that were not possible before.

Rise in Invisalign Teen orthodonticsLatest News

A recent rise in Invisalign Teen orthodontics is sweeping the nation. Historically, teenagers have undergone traditional teeth straightening methods to achieve a beautiful smile. However, now more and more teens are turning to Invisalign Teen for a more discreet service.

Invisalign is able to tackle an abundance of orthodontic problems such as overcrowding, problems with under or over bite, gaps and much more. Also, a great bonus with Invisalign is there is no need for emergency appointments to fix broken wires or fittings.

Another great aspect of the treatment is the specially designed Invisalign app which can be downloaded to a smartphone. This app allows teens to take selfie photos of their teeth between appointments to track their progress. The app uses intricate algorithms to monitor the teeth and will also send out alerts to say when it is time to move on to the next aligner. Invisalign is a great way of straightening teeth without drawing attention to the process. Many teens are over the moon that this treatment is now available.

Invisalign braces growing in popularity, new figures show

Wed

The popularity of Invisalign Braces appears to be continuing.New figures from the makers of Invisalign braces have shown that the aligners are continuing to grow in popularity.

According to Align Technology – which manufactures the plastic alternative to traditional metal braces – there was a 17.2 per cent increase in shipments in the year to September 2010.

This equated to a gross profit margin of 78.1 per cent, 3.7 per cent higher than in the third quarter of 2009.

The company partly credited the increase to the growth in Invisalign Teen braces, but president Thomas M Prescott admitted that sales have been slower than usual due to the economic downturn.

Once the effects of the recession have faded, more Invisalign braces could therefore be sold.

In August 2010, Align Technology announced the launch of its next generation dental technology, Invisalign G3.

Myleene Klass is among the celebrities known to wear invisible braces to straighten out her smile with maximum disruption.

Invisalign competition for US teens

Tue

A dentist in America is offering free Invisalign braces to the winner of a competition. Invisalign aligners are a prize in a contest offered by a US dentist.

Teenage competitors have been asked to submit a video or essay explaining why they feel they need the invisible braces and how they would improve their life.

The entries will later be used for marketing by the dental surgery, which is also holding an open day later this month to highlight the benefits of Invisalign braces.

Paula Zimmerman of Grove City Family Dentistry in Ohio said it was a “very special opportunity” for local youngsters.

“The Invisalign Teen Open House and contest will encourage teens to share their story with us and allow us to show how effective the Invisalign braces are for a teen’s lifestyle,” she added.

Young people aged between 13 and 19 are eligible for the competition and will also be given a chance to use computer technology to see how their teeth will look when the cosmetic dentistry is complete.

Over one million patients have already tried Invisalign or Invisalign Teen braces. ADNFCR-2621-ID-800011193-ADNFCR
