Gordon Ramsay shows off bright white teeth

Thu

TV chef Gordon Ramsay might be better known for bearing his teeth in anger but he was all smiles when he left the Restaurant Story in South London this week, and it wasn’t hard for waiting photographers to catch a glimpse of his brand new, dazzlingly white teeth. Far beyond a simple whitening procedure, speculation immediately arose that the Kitchen Nightmares star has had veneer treatment to straighten his teeth and cover up dental stains – this sort of procedure could cost anywhere from £7,000 to £20,000, depending on the type of veneer selected for use.

Gordon’s new show Masterchef Junior is set to launch in the US next month, so it seems that the top chef has gone for a more ‘Hollywood’ approach to dental improvements, with the laminates providing a perfectly straight, white smile – that can’t be missed. Unfortunately, fans and critics probably need some time to get used to the drastic change and some have taken to news sites to comment on the chef’s new teeth, saying they ‘look so silly’ and asking why he felt the need to get veneers that are so straight and unnaturally white.

As well as improving his teeth, fitness fanatic Ramsay, 43, has signed up for the Ironman Championship in Hawaii this October – this includes a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run.

Latest casualty of Lord Sugar’s boardroom talks Botox

Thu

The most recent candidate to be sent packing on BBC’s The Apprentice has spoken with Hello! magazine about wanting Botox after her appearance on the show saw fans dub her ‘Gordon Ramsay’ because of her frown lines. 26-year-old Katie Wright was fired last night for failing to deliver the goods in a street food challenge and she has reacted to fans comparing her to the wrinkly chef, telling the paper; ‘People keep saying I look like Gordon Ramsay. I didn’t realise how many conversations my forehead was having with the world.’

Unfortunately, the pretty blonde’s confidence has taken something of a knock following the airing of the show’s seventh series, and the comments have made her consider facial injections to improve her appearance. ‘It’s made me want Botox,’ she said, but added that her other half was not keen on the idea; ‘My lovely husband Mark’s absolutely adamant I can’t have it done though.’

Despite her week six firing, Katie said that the only regret she has is that she didn’t push to the front and get herself noticed during the first few tasks, admitting that she might have looked like she was trying to hide, when really it was a case of ‘deer-in-the-headlights’, in the face of TV’s most intimidating job interview. ‘I just wish that I had the confidence to step forward from the start.’ She said.

Saturday Kitchen presenter criticises ‘vain’ TV chefs

Thu

Celebrity chef James Martin is normally a fairly easy-going kind of person, he’s happy with working for the BBC on hit weekend show Saturday Kitchen, and he’s not looking to abandon UK television to make a name for himself across the pond. He does, however, have some strong opinions about chefs who are so desperate to make it in America that they are willing to undergo cosmetic enhancement to achieve their goals.

The 38-year-old has passed judgement on fellow TV personalities such as Gordon Ramsay, for their use of Botox injections and other facial surgeries, vowing that he is going to grow old gracefully. ‘I’m quite happy,’ he told The Sun newspaper ‘Why would I chase for anything more?’ Before adding, rather crudely, ‘If I’ve got to have my ar*e welded to my forehead to crack America, then, America, see you later.’

Although he’s not sold on the idea of using dermal fillers to achieve a more youthful appearance, James hasn’t ruled out the use of beauty treatments, to keep him ready for his close up. ‘HD is great, as long as you’ve got hair and make-up. The only other show I’ve done with HD is The One Show, where they spray make-up all over you.’ But an overflowing wardrobe is something he draws the line at, admitting that all he does is buy ‘every colour of polo shirt twice and that’s it.’

Has London chef Gordon Ramsay had dental veneers?

Wed

TV chef Gordon Ramsay has been photographed with very even teeth, leading to speculation that he may have had veneers. Dental veneers may have improved Gordon Ramsay’s smile, according to one newspaper.

The Daily Mail has speculated that the foul-mouthed TV chef, who owns a chain of restaurants in London and across the world, has had cosmetic dentistry costing between £7,000 and £10,000.

Veneers are made from thin porcelain and fit over the front of a tooth.

His teeth seemed more even, whiter and less pointed at a recent appearance to talk about his new US television programme, a version of hit show Masterchef, on the Fox Television Critics Association summer press tour earlier this week.

The F Word star revealed recently he had had cosmetic work done on his chin, but admitted that no one had noticed until he announced it.

“Am I going to have any more work done? Of course I’m not,” he said at the time.

He claimed that Botox fan Simon Cowell had convinced him to have the fillers injected into his face.ADNFCR-2621-ID-800012289-ADNFCR

My favourite part of Pearl Dental Clinic is my clinician, Dr Ehsan Esfahani. Dr Esfahani is very good at explaining my current status and my future treatment plan (Invisalign Full) he gives me great assurance and confidence that the outcome of my treatment will be as promised in my first consultation - Dr Esfahani is reluctant to make promises that he knows cannot be delivered. In addition to his excellent dentistry knowledge and professional manner Dr Esfahani is a genuinely nice person who is very welcoming, relaxing and a pleasure to have as my dentist. I should also thank Dr Esfahani's assistant and the gentleman on the front desk (Wednesday nights) who are both incredibly polite and helpful during every visit to the practice.
