Fans urge reality star Megan to go easy on the lip injections

Fri

After stepping into the spotlight following several explosive appearances on reality show The Only Way is Essex Megan McKenna has certainly been enjoying the attention and she hasn’t been shy about diving into the world of cosmetic surgery either. Pictures on the reality stars Twitter page quickly garnered a response from fans and it wasn’t all positive.

Megan posted a picture of herself in full make-up, with her new lips looking plump and full; she confirmed that they were not natural, adding the caption ‘Love my lips done today’ and mentioning the clinic that performed the treatment @first_love_yourself_aesthetics, with the hashtag #allaboutthepout.

Although Megan seemed thrilled with the results of her filler treatment, her fans were not so sure, with some expressing concern that the 23-year-old had taken it too far with cosmetic treatment. Some of her followers questioned whether Megan even needed work done or if she should avoid filler injections at least until she is a bit older. Her fans recently warned the Ex on the Beach star that she could be damaging her skin by using factor 4 lotion whilst on holiday in Miami, but Megan assured her followers that she was actually using factor 30, to keep safe in the sun.

Geordie Shore’s Charlotte says she was having lip fillers long before Kylie Jenner

Sat

Reality star Charlotte Crosby recently debuted her brand new nose on social media and the Geordie Shore regular has now decided to share all of her cosmetic surgery secrets with the world, by claiming in an interview with Daily Mail Australia that she was having filler injections into her lips long before starlet Kylie Jenner made the procedure famous.

Charlotte said that the 18-year-old sister of Kim Kardashian may have brought the surgery into the limelight but she was having it done years ago, in order to keep her lips looking plump. The 25-year-old told the publication that she goes back to have further filler injections every five months to make sure the effects don’t wear off. She explained ‘I’ve been getting my lips done for about two years now’, mainly because she felt that her top lip was too thin and she wanted to have a better pout. She joked that this wasn’t the ‘Kylie Jenner effect’ as she was already a fan of the treatment before the young reality star ‘got trendy’.

Charlotte has undergone quite the transformation in the past year; as well as filler injections, she has had Botox treatment, a rhino-plasty, and dropped four dress sizes in order to film her best-selling fitness DVD’s.

Filler appointment could save Cheshire woman’s life

Fri

A woman who visited a cosmetic clinic to have facial injections has her surgeon to thank for an early cancer diagnosis, which could save her life. Sarah Davies, 49, was attending an appointment at The Cheshire Image Clinic to discuss the use of facial fillers or microdermabrasion to improve her skin, when her provider, Michelle Irving, pointed out that there was a small lump near to her eye and told her to see a dermatologist.

Michelle said that she would feel more comfortable working on Sarah after she had the all clear from a dermatologist regarding the lump, even though Sarah had noticed it over a year ago and visited her GP for some cream. To Sarah’s shock, the results showed that the lump was skin cancer and she would have to start treatment.

Sarah is extremely grateful to the staff at the clinic, she told Chester Chronicle ‘I think that often these clinics get a lot of bad press but this woman and her ethics could potentially have saved my life and I think she was just truly honourable in not just taking my money but also taking the time to look at me carefully and raise an alarm about something I almost certainly would have ignored.’

Doctors have told Sarah she has basal cell carcinoma and she will require surgery, as well as skin graft repair because of the position of the lump.

Michelle told the paper ‘The most important thing to remember is that whatever you are having done aesthetically, you should always make sure you go to a qualified medical professional.’

Hollywood surgeon suggests Beyoncé has had Botox and plastic surgery

Mon

She has always denied having any work done but one particular cosmetic surgeon is sure that pop queen Beyonce has had some cosmetic enhancement, and possibly surgery, to try and maintain her good looks.

Top Hollywood surgeon Dr Anthony Youn spoke to Radar Online about the songstress and her youthful appearance, even claiming that she has had a rhinoplasty, as well as Botox and lip fillers.

Viewing pictures of the star at a boxing match in Vegas, Dr Youn said that the 34-year-old appeared to look different and this may be due to cosmetic surgery. He said that ‘her upper lip also looks like it may have been moderately enhanced, possibly with a filler.’ As well as filling her lips, Dr Youn said that it looked like Beyoncé had undergone further filler injections into her nasolabial folds – the lines that go from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth.

In the past, the mother-of-one has voiced her concerns about the pressures on women to undergo cosmetic treatment in order to fight the signs of aging, saying ‘Some of the things that young women go through are just really heart-breaking for me.’
