Michelle Heaton can’t wait for post-pregnancy Botox

Wed

Former Liberty X member Michelle Heaton is expecting a baby in under two months’ time, but she seems to have other things on her mind than what to call her first born or what colour to paint the nursery, in fact she’s more concerned with her first post-pregnancy Botox session to deal with her facial lines.

‘I’ve been having Botox since I was 28.’ The 31-year-old told Closer magazine, ‘If used correctly, it can make a huge difference. I can’t wait to have the baby so I can have it again.’

Michelle’s biggest gripe is with her frown lines, one of which appears in the middle of her forehead if she doesn’t have regular injections. ‘I look angry all the time and it really upsets me.’ She said.

As well as dealing with her wrinkles, Michelle also hopes to get her size eight figure back after giving birth. ‘At first, it was really hard to let my body go after being in firm control for three years,’ she admitted, but added that she was ‘getting used to’ her curvier figure.  She told the magazine that she was planning to get back to her exercise routine as soon as possible, saying ‘After the birth, I’m going to dust off the cross-trainer at home and order some fitness DVD’s, so I can exercise whenever I have a spare minute. I’ve really missed the gym.’

Journalist tries Zoom teeth whitening treatment – with sparkling results

Tue

One writer went for full-on brightness when she tried Zoom teeth whitening. A journalist has spoken about trying Zoom teeth whitening for the first time.

Writing for the Irish Independent, Sinead Van Kampen said she had been encouraged to do so after seeing Hollywood stars flash their pearly white teeth on the red carpet at the Oscars and other award ceremonies.

She said that she was able to sit and relax while watching a DVD as the professional went about doing the whitening, which can result in teeth becoming up to eight shades brighter.

"Althought it's recommended that your new teeth match the whites of your eyes, I went the whole hog and got the full on Simon Cowell," Ms Van Kampen commented, joking that her colleagues needed sunglasses afterwards.

She concluded that Zoom teeth whitening can really give everyone the wow factor, but warned anyone having it to avoid food such as curries in the days afterwards, as they could result in staining.

Dr Sultan Sherzoy, speaking from his practice in New Jersey, recently said that he has seen patients get their confidence and self-esteem back after opting for Zoom teeth whitening, even if they barely smiled at all before.

Educational DVD zooms in on emergency dentistry risk from smoking

Wed

Emergency dentistry could be the result of smoking. An educational DVD distributed to schools in the US state of South Dakota is zooming in on the fact that smoking might cause a need for emergency dentistry later in life.

The films, produced by the South Dakota State Medical Association Alliance, features an animated cigarette butt that comes to life and talks about the 4,000 chemicals that can be present in just one cigarette.

However, it also shows the teeth of smokers turning brown and eventually falling out.

It is hoped that the threat of impending emergency dentistry could be enough to put the children off starting smoking in the first place.

"They know it's bad for you but this helps it hit and let them see what it can do," said education officer Christine Bruxvoort.

According to the British Dental Health Foundation, smoking can lead to tooth staining, gum disease, tooth loss and even mouth or throat cancer.
