Bridget Jones actress Renee Zellweger is not known for her public appearances lately but the 45-year-old certainly turned heads when she stepped out for Elle’s 21st annual Women in Hollywood awards ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in California on Monday. Renee was virtually unrecognisable, displaying a perfectly smooth complexion and wide eyes, which immediately sparked fresh rumours of cosmetic surgery.
Cosmetic surgeon Dr Alex Karidis, of London’s Karidis Clinic, told MailOnline that it appeared the actress has had an upper eye lift but not gone as far as a brow lift, although the doctor did add that her forehead looked ‘smooth’, commenting that ‘you would expect more expressive wrinkles when she smiles which indicates a possible small dose of Botox between eyelid and eye.’
Dr Karidis also suggested that Renee had undergone ‘non-surgical treatments such as ultrasound therapy to firm the skin and a medical grade facial to get rid of dead skin cells.’
The actress has previously labelled claims that she has been under the knife ‘unfair and disappointing’, according to Hollywood Life, and claims that her healthy lifestyle may be to thank for her youthful appearance. She told The Express ‘I have a lifestyle that involves keeping my sanity by going to the gym.’
