For straighter teeth ‘have invisalign treatment’

For straighter teeth 'have invisalign treatment'People looking to straighten their teeth but without a metal smile should opt for invisalign treatment, one specialist has claimed.

Writing for the Woodinville Weekly, Dr Majed Moawad described how the modern technique alters the location of teeth without metal wires or bands.

He explained how clear aligners are custom-made and designed to be worn between 20 and 22 hours a day until teeth are in the correct position.

Treatment is more hygienic than traditional methods, as the dental wear can be removed when cleaning the mouth or eating, Dr Moawad stated.

However, he commented that the aligners will need replacing every two weeks so that they continue to fit properly as the teeth shift.

Writing for the Desert Sun newspaper, Dr Andrew Ordon recently advised individuals who want to improve their smile for summer to consider having their teeth whitened.

He suggested that the cosmetic procedure could help people look and feel better throughout the warmer months.ADNFCR-2621-ID-19857188-ADNFCR

Dental veneers ‘improve smiles’

Dental veneers 'improve smiles'To improve the appearance of a smile dental veneers are one of the best options available, according to one specialist.

Writing for the Reading Eagle, Dr John Reitz recommends having porcelain dental veneers fitted to the teeth to give an aesthetically pleasing look.

He explained that as people age tooth enamel wears away and this can cause teeth to chip and damage more easily.

There are other alternative treatments such as using composite to fill gaps and restore healthy look, however, veneers are a more permanent and flexible choice, the dentist stated.

Dr Reitz said: “Advances in porcelain technology have developed very thin, strong veneers that can be applied to the teeth, often without removing any tooth structure.”

To complete the overall effect, it was suggested that individuals have their teeth whitened to give a clean and healthy exterior.

Teeth whitening ‘can help you look great’

Teeth whitening 'can help you look great'For a quick way to look and feel great this summer, one expert has recommended teeth whitening for a fresh look.

Dr Andrew Ordon, a medical expert and advisor on the US television show The Doctors, gave his top tips to the Desert Sun newspaper on how to get ready for summer.

The specialist recommended getting teeth whitened using the latest dentistry technology in order to get a whiter smile.

He said: “Teeth bleaching, the blue laser or other cosmetic dentistry can have you smiling and looking great all summer long.”

The British Dental Health Foundation claims that teeth can remain brighter for up to three years after professional whitening treatment, provided foods that discolour teeth are avoided.

Recently, a range of over-the-counter teeth whitening products were tested by dentist Dr Philip Stemmer for the Daily Mail, who warned that certain kits containing hydrogen peroxide could cause irritation to teeth, gums and the stomach lining if not applied correctly.ADNFCR-2621-ID-19830949-ADNFCR
