New Botox treatment for lips

Latest News

New Botox treatment for lipsA new Botox treatment for lips is being trialed for use. The new development is making a debut in Australia. If successful, other countries such as the UK could adopt this new method. The new technique is named the ‘Botox Lip Flip’. Although it does not actually make the lips any bigger, it gives the illusion that it does.

The procedure focuses on adding Botox to specific muscles around the mouth. This technique accentuates the look of the lips and gives a voluptuous pout by relaxing the muscles and causing the lip to flip or roll out. If this procedure becomes successful we could see a decline in dermal filler treatments for the lips. However, there are some downsides to the Lip Flip. If too much Botox is administered then the lips may not move at all, whereas using less means the results will not last as long. There are certainly some creases to iron out here but the process could end up being very popular in the future.

Michelle Keegan’s cosmetic tweakment rumours

Latest News

Michelle Keegan's cosmetic tweakment rumoursMichelle Keegan’s cosmetic tweakment rumours have circulated once more this week as she emerged with, what looked like, injection sites on her forehead. The ex Coronation Street and Our Girl star was spotted last week on her way to a lunch date.

Typically, with this type of story, fans and surgeons would express worry and angst over their favourite celeb, however, with Michelle, this is not the case. Dr. Alex Kardis, a well known cosmetic surgeon, was quoted in Reveal Magazine. “Everything she looks to have done is a slighter moderation and has been done very tastefully. She looks good.”

It is rumoured that Michelle has undergone dermal filler treatments in her lips, and had Botox in her face and jaw. There is also speculation that she has had dental veneers fitted to improve the look of her smile. It is clear that the star has changed somewhat since her first television appearance in Coronation street in 2011. However, many say that she has changed for the better, not the worse, and still looks naturally beautiful.

Celebrities get ready for awards season

The way celebrities get ready for awards season varies, however, most will have cosmetic tweaks here and there to enhance their look. As well as amazing hair, makeup, and jaw-dropping dresses, the face and teeth are as important. Celebs may undergo cosmetic dentistry to look and feel great. Some of the more common procedures are teeth whitening, Botox, dermal fillers, veneers and invisible braces.

Dr Esho’s opinion:

Dr Esho has given his opinion to the Daily Mail on who he thinks has had extra help. The popular celebrity cosmetic doctor believes that he can identify the stars who have had treatments. For example, celebs such as Jennifer Lopez and Penelope Cruz are looking differently to previous years, however, both still looking fabulous. Although he has not treated any of these stars personally, he provides his professional opinion. “It does appear that her [J-Lo’s] lips have increased in size and shape over time, which suggests small amounts of lip filler over a sustained period of time – very subtle.” Dr. Esho also believes that Rita Ora’s beautiful face has recently undergone Botox injections. While the celebrities get ready for awards season, the public eagerly anticipates who will win these prestigious events. With a specific focus on who will look great doing so.

Plastic surgery addict performs facial injections on herself

A woman who became addicted to plastic surgery after she was a victim of domestic violence has admitted to spending more than half a million pounds on cosmetic treatment and she even went so far as to perform anti-wrinkle treatment on herself, using Botox and dermal fillers. Now a qualified practitioner, Sarah Burge, 55, spoke to Mailonline about her addiction and how she tries the treatment on herself as well as others.

Sarah, who has appeared on several reality shows in the UK and the US, says that she would not try anything on a client that she had not tried on herself already, unless the client ‘had gone through a cooling off period.’ Because she has had many cosmetic procedures herself, she feels that she has an understanding of the procedure that many surgeons lack and she can empathise with her patients better. She claims to be ‘pioneering a new form of cosmetic surgery’.

When it comes to her own appearance, the reality TV regular said that she gives herself ‘top-ups’ using dermal filler and Botox injections and claims that she knows the human face so well that she is in an ‘excellent’ position to provide the treatment for others. As well as giving herself anti-wrinkle treatments, the self-confessed surgery addict has also had facelifts, body lifts, a breast lift, bottom implants, liposuction, and various other surgical procedures.

Has Ashley Judd had dermal injections?

Hollywood actress Ashley Judd was at the centre of plastic surgery rumours this week as she made an appearance on Canadian TV to promote her new show, Missing. The 43-year-old looked swollen and ‘pillowy’ when she arrived for her interview on The Marilyn Denis Show in Toronto, a far cry from the perfectly chiselled, fresh-faced look she built her career on.

Twitter was quickly inundated with posts as followers questioned Ms Judd’s appearance, one asking ‘What happened to Ashley Judd’s face?’ and another commenting that ‘It looks weirdly puffy but she doesn’t appear to have gained weight.’ There has been no comment from the actress or her representatives regarding the rumours, but the ‘pillowy’ look around her cheeks and jaw line seems to suggest some over-indulgence in dermal fillers, which are designed to replenish moisture levels in the skin, making it look fuller and more youthful. She also looked bloated and red when she arrived in Toronto prior to the interview, sparking reports that she had turned to cosmetic enhancement to fight the signs of aging.

In recent weeks, celebrities like Madonna and Lindsay Lohan have been pictured in a similar condition – advertising the negative results of over-doing facial injections. When used in moderation, treatments like Botox and dermal fillers can disguise lines and wrinkles, as well as giving some shape back to the cheeks, however, it seems that celebrities don’t always know when enough is enough.

Joan Collins knocks the Botox trend

Dynasty star Joan Collins has admitted that only her husband and gardener have ever seen her without make-up on, and she’s also taking a swipe at women who try to fight the signs of aging with facial injections like Botox or dermal fillers.

Although the process is generally considered to be fairly painless, the 78-year-old actress complained that when she had Botox injections in her forehead it ‘hurt like hell’, and she wasn’t tempted to have the treatment again after seeing the effects of over-doing it – or ‘surgical nightmares’ as she describes them. When used correctly, Botox can get rid of facial lines and wrinkles, but if it is administered by an under-qualified person, the results can be dramatic – and not in a good way. Ms Collins said ‘I have girlfriends who’ve had Botox and been left with lumps in their faces. And the lips – don’t even get me started…’

The actress also commented that she didn’t take offense to people assuming that she has had cosmetic surgery, saying ‘the truth is that I’ve always taken very good care of my skin and always, always worn make-up.’ Speaking to Glamour magazine this week, Ms Collins admitted that when she was younger she didn’t appreciate her good looks, and that it’s only now she can understand the fuss over her appearance, she explained ‘I look at pictures of myself now and think – God, I really was beautiful.’

Carol Vorderman raises eyebrows with her fuller face

Carol Vorderman is no stranger to controversy when it comes to her figure and fashion sense, but today it’s her face that’s getting attention from the media and fans alike.

The 50-year-old Loose Women panelist appears to have undergone some drastic changes over the past few months, her fuller cheeks and smoother skin would suggest some type of dermal filler or even a face lift, but her friends have put it down to her new make-up, stating that ‘Carol has always had high cheekbones. ’

Staff at The Harley Medical Group beg to differ, non-surgical training manager Bernadette Hart commented that her cheeks in particular were looking younger and fuller, compared to a 2010 photo of her. Ms Hart went on to say that ‘A fuller, more lifted cheek is something that can be achieved by having dermal fillers injected into the cheek area. I would suggest that rather than undergoing surgery, she may have had dermal fillers in the cheek bone area. ’

In the past, Carol has said that her age didn’t bother her and she wouldn’t even think about going under the knife to look younger, saying ‘You get to a point where you realise you’re never going to be perfect, but you deal with it. I’m happy with my appearance and very comfortable in my skin.
