Lads-mag favourite Bar Refaeli might look like the image of perfection in front of the cameras, but she has tweeted a picture of herself in the dentist’s chair –proving that even top models have to put in the effort to remain flawless. The Sports Illustrated model posted a picture from her mobile phone that showed her lying in the dentist’s chair with her mouth open as she waited for her treatment; she also had a protective towel beneath her jaw and a dental tube under her tongue to prepare her for surgery.

The 27-year-old Israeli didn’t specify why she was visiting the dentist but she certainly wasn’t shy about showing herself to her Twitter followers without make-up under the glare of the surgery lights. It remains to be seen whether this was simply a check-up or a more invasive treatment to deal with dental problems – although some sources have speculated that this looks to be slightly more complicated than a routine appointment. Bar wasn’t giving away much either, tweeting alongside the photograph ‘At the dentist…ouch!!’

The dental surgery didn’t appear to get her down for too long though, as Bar later tweeted her followers to keep them updated on her travels, and she sounded like she was having the time of her life globetrotting, posting; ‘Rome, Philippines, New-York, London, Turkey, Italy, Brazil!!! Guys… U make me HAPPY!!’

Israeli model Bar Refaeli has revealed that she struggles to get dates because she doesn’t get out  much and she only meets married business men on her travels, she also mentioned that one of the first thing she notices about prospective partners is their teeth.

Men all over the world will be heading to the dentist to fix their teeth after the 27-year-old model described how she finds a perfect smile to be very attractive. Bar – seemingly unaware of the cost of dental treatment for the average working person – spoke about her disbelief that most people who have misalignments don’t get them sorted out using braces. ‘I don’t want to generalise’ she said, before generalising that good orthodontic treatment is easy to come by in today’s economy, ‘let’s just say that with today’s orthodontists, I don’t understand why people wouldn’t fix them. A nice smile with beautiful teeth is the most attractive thing.’

After dating Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio in her early twenties, Bar currently finds herself single as she throws herself into a hectic work schedule, although she has found the time to enjoy the Olympic games this week, accompanied by her mother, former model Tzipi Levine. She also recently took the coveted title of Hottest Woman, voted for by readers of lads-mag Maxim.
