TV actress Amanda Redman has said in an interview that she has turned to Botox and filler injections in an attempt to hold back the years; she also added that she would not rule out surgery in the future. Amanda, 58, spoke to Woman and Home about cosmetic treatment and said that all women want to look younger.
The New Tricks star said ‘There is not a woman alive who wouldn’t like to be 18 again; don’t let anyone fool you into thinking otherwise.’ She went on to say that she has tried Botox and fillers in the past but decided to stop, although she has not sworn off the treatment for good and might try it again one day.
Amanda also credits a healthy diet with her youthful appearance but added that she was not against having cosmetic surgery to get rid of the signs of aging saying ‘I never say never about anything. At the moment though, I don’t feel the need. I’m alright with myself. In a years’ time, I might not be.’
Speaking about her profession, the mother-of-one said that there is constant pressure to look young and retain a certain appearance to try and keep the job offers coming. She said ‘I’ve spent my career going up and down in weight and I’ve always gone ‘I don’t care what they think’ because real women aren’t sticks and I like playing real women.’
