Invisalign braces being used in Edinburgh.A new cosmetic dentistry treatment to straighten teeth is being used at a surgery in Leith, Edinburgh.

The Scotsman reported Lubiju Dental Surgery is offering a new procedure which is aimed at helping adults who are self-conscious about their smiles.

Dentist Dr Biju Krishnan, who set up Lubiju along with Dr Lubino do Rego, said: “There are thousands of adults in Scotland who are ashamed of their teeth and cover their mouths whenever they laugh or smile.”

As a result, the surgery is offering Invisalign braces for patients looking to give their smile its sparkle back.

Elsewhere, Dr Spiker Davis from Houston Cosmetic Dentistry recently announced he has invested more than $100,000 (£62,000) in digital imaging equipment to allow him to better diagnose and treat his patients.

He stated the technology takes digital images of a person’s body and is not distorted by radiation, thereby giving a much clearer image to work from.
