Invisalign braces may have prevented writer’s pain

Invisalign braces should not create the pain that tightening metal braces does. Invisalign braces could prevent patients who need cosmetic dentistry from having to go through the pain that one writer was subjected to as a youth.

In an article for the Sydney Morning Herald, Jessica Irvine said she had misaligned teeth while she was still at school and had to have the metal braces that were being used by oral healthcare professionals at the time.

She said the thoughts of her regular trips to the orthodontist to have them tightened still make her wince even many years later.

"It hurts even now. After a few days my teeth would eventually settle into their new place, only to earn yet another trip to the orthodontist for tightening," Ms Irvine commented.

Modern-day dental patients can now benefit from Invisalign and other invisible braces instead of being limited to metal varieties.

Earlier this week, an unnamed journalist from the Daily Mail said she recently completed her treatment with them and has been thrilled with the results.
