Ali: it is simply what we are able to offer because of the quantity of patients we see, and hence number of treatments we do

Visitor: good,please tell me,what is the difference between lumineers and veneers?
Ali: Lumineers is a brand of porcelain veneers, which are ultra thin and ultra strong designed for minimum preparation which mean either none or very little of your natural tooth structure would need to be filed down to have them fitted unlike traditional porcelain veneers
Visitor: are you happy to place lumineers on only the upper teeth and leave the lower teeth as they are if this is what i requested?
Ali: veneeers are not usually placed on the lower teeth anyway so not to worry

Ali: yes this is because lower teeth are load bearing teeth and in most cases they would break very easily on lower teeth, and as most peoples lower teeth do not show when they smail it is not common for veneers to be placed on them
Ali: i see that is queit far, our apologies but we are a single clinic in south west london and do not have branches elsewhere at present

Visitor: whats the difference between composite veneers and lumineers then?other than the price?

Ali: composite veneers are made of a material very similar to that used for white fillings except much stronger and more aesthetic
Ali: they are made by the dentist himself in the dental chair as opposed to a lab and the final result is generally down to the aritistic ability of the Dentist
Visitor: do you have to remove much of the original tooth to fit these?
Ali: no, composite veneers are completely reversible in most cases
Visitor: do they stain easily or the same as lumineers?how long do they last

Ali: composite can stain more easily than porcelain definitely
Ali: porcelain should not stain for years and years which is why it is used for things like crowns and veneers in dentistry
Visitor: you see,i am happy with the alignement of all my teeth but hate the colour,and want to replace the front 8 with veneers instead of crowns etc,ive had whitening done about 8 years ago which did work but id love a new fascia fitting to my old teeth
Ali: this should be a suitable case, and even if it isn’t I am sure our Dentist will be able to offer you some alternative

Visitor: what is the most expensive veneer you do and how much is it and what makes that better than the £495 lumineers?
Ali: If you decide to go ahead, the treatment should be completed over 2-3 visits over a period of 4 – 8 weeks depending on your treatment
Ali: The most expensive one we offer are daVinci and MACVeneers whcih are £595 each ,and to be honest there is not much difference between all our brands of veneers ranging from EMAX @ £475 upto the MAC and daVinci, as they are all ultra thin and ultra strong porcelain veneers
Ali: It is usually your choice which brand you wish to opt for
Visitor: i apologise for so many questions but is there a chance by having 8 veneers fitted bad breath could occur?
Ali: usually yes this may become possible if your veneers are badly fitted, as you could then get gum disease, but with well fitted veneers this should not happen
